I can't Collect Goo!

I keep hovering over the Goo, but no matter what I don't seem to be collecting them.

I'm not shooting them.

Am I doing something wrong? :/

try collecting da goo with the ship and not the aimer
some of the goo miss the ship completly and are impossible to get but most of the goo you can get. maby you are very unlucky? maby you are collecting goo and you just don't realise it. when you collect the goo the top bar should fill up a bit.
